Double charged reload VS. Glock 17

Just saw this posted on a local FB gun page. Shooter appears to be okay, aside from the slight hand injury.
Keep track of your loads as you load them. He knew something was off... but didn't fully realize what he had done.

This is why I use unigue powder for all pistol calibers. There no way you Could double powder charge. It over fills the case.

Kinda depends on your powder, reloading set up. Paying attention is gonna be your biggest friend. This guy knew something was up
(at that point you do what you hve to do) but he shot the loaded ammo anyway.\

Unique, in the caase of 9mm and my load, it would over fill the case if I double. I would know.

You can weigh it and tell if you double charged it. Like others have said it overflows with 9mm, I use Winchester 231 and if I double charge a round it overflows and spills powder. It's pretty obvious with 9mm.

Yeah, it's called weigh your reloads. You should check the OAL with calipers too.

Variations in casings / lead bullets can be pretty drastic.

They do make a "powder cop" die thats supposed to help. I never used one.

I use w231, basically impossible to double charge it.
