    M&P 40c

Just put one in jail today. Anyone has one? I wanted to know if I to watchout for anything. I compared to a glock 26 and I like the feel if it better.

Congrats on the purchase. I have one that I've put at least 3k+ rounds through and have not had one jam at all! Excellent handgun.

Fun little gun. The direct comparison is the GLOCK27 (as the 26 is a 9mm) and I have found it to be a soft shooter in relation to it being a compact 40.

If I could CCW it would probably be this.

Mine is older, I recently put an APEX trigger kit in mine, the trigger was pretty bad. I believe the newer ones have a better factory trigger. Other than that it's a fine gun.

Have one in 9. Only 100 rounds through it but it runs like a champ

I carry one every day as my CCW weapon. I like it.

I use the finger extension on the magazines as it's much more comfortable for me.

Actually the size is almost exactly the same as a G23.

I have the 9c and G19. Can't go wrong with either.

Thanks for the response fellas. I was looking at the G23. But this has a more comfy ergo. I looked online for any bad review, couldn't find one. The price wasn't bad either. $497 OTD. I also checked out the XD. I like it but this one seems thinner and would probably be a good future LTC gun. I read that I can get a 9mm barrel and mags for it.

Have not felt. More comfortable gun than the M&P compacts. They eat all ammo, great for CCW. Lots of aftermarket stuff for em too. I don't have any ideas of anything to watch out for except you'll fall in love. Most people do not like the trigger but I have no problems with it. I do understand there is no tactile reset but apparently S&W wanted it that way.

Compare the trigger to the Glock, Even though the M&P feels better in my hand that doesn't make it shoot any better than my G22. If I'd known that I was going to have to spend $108.00 and an evening to make the trigger almost as good as my Glock I might have just bought a G27.

I have one, felt great in my hand & lots of good reviews, so I bought it. But I neglected to shoot it before buying... and absolutely hated it. Shot it twice and put it away for long while.

A few months ago, I put an Apex trigger in it, and now it's very nice. But I've got over $800 in it including the 9mm barrel. Impossible to find 9mm mags for it.

In the end, I'm happy with it. But it cost alot to get it there.

I have a new one (along with the full size) and like it a lot. Shots smooth and have consistent groups (with both sizes).

One thing I had to do with both pistols: I found the trigger to be a bit a gritty, so I took a small sharpening stone and polished the interfaced with upper's firing pin. It's a little piece of metal that protrudes above the lower. Watch the 4:50 mark to the end:

                        Enjoy!
