stormlake 23/9 conv problem...

Got a stormlake 23-9 conversion barrel and tried to eject a few dummy rounds. It ejects a couple of rounds but gets hang up on the third, fourth so badly that I need to eject the magazine to get it out. Do I need a g19 extractor ? it seems like a pain...

I have the same gun/barrel. Mine has run 100% for ~500 rounds. Like CK implied, I think your issue is mag related. If you are using a 19 mag, throw in a new spring and follower. If you are using a 23 mag, find a new 19 mag.

Update... She works like a charm.... I even used some .40 magazines with 9mm and they feed to " PERFECTION"

Does your 40 mags lock the slide back with on in the chamber? I don't know why but when I try the 9mm in a 40 mag it always locks the slide back with one round sitting on top of the mag. Anyone else have this? I've tried it with 3 mags all do it.


My 17/19 mags don't. I'm not worried I'm just curious why its locking back with one round left in the mag.

Not on mine.... I ran the same magazine about 8 times without any issues. Didn't experience what you mentioned. but will try a different 40 magazine next time and I'll keep you posted.

Alright finally shot my 23 with 23 mags and 9mm barrel and it functioned fine. Not sure why it only locks up on the last round when I hand cycle but during range fire it does work flawless.

Just wanted to post in for future readers or Google. The 23 mags do feed and function fine with 9mm and 40.

I use the SL 40-9 barrel with 19 mags in my G23 and have never had an issue. Including Freedom Munitions remans and new Remi 9mm. Relatively new mags obtained at the local gunshow. Good practice rig between sessions with the 40 ammo.

I use a lone wolf conversion in my 23, works beautifully with both 9 and 40 mags
