    Bead Blasting

Hey guys, i have purchased a S&W model 66 .357 2.5'' barrel for $700 used. its in good shape but there is a couple signs of ware of course and the shop said for $70 they would bead blast it and it would make the gun look brand new. So i said go for it. Have any of you had your revolvers done? Did it come out nice? Her she is sorry i cant upload the photo better....

I like the blasted flat finish, but I hear its more susceptible to holster wear.
My wheel came with the finish. It collects burn marks like SS. The same SS lead away cleaner will work. Go easy with it.

      Needs cleaning at the moment.

The bead blast finish will show every bit of wear.

It looked pretty good as it was. Dunno if I'd have had it done. I'm more partial to the brushed polish look myself.

I would leave it alone. why take away its character?
