    J frame and K frame question

    Wheel gun noob question:

    Is my smith model 36 a J frame and my smith model 65-2 a K frame?

    The .38spl mod 36 has a 5 round wheel whereas the .357mag mod 65-2 has a 6 round wheel.

                You can trust the Standard Catalog of S&W 3rd edition. Great book & pretty cheap for what it is. A must have for anybody with the slightest interest in S&W.
