Living In SoCal - looking for a FFL for SSE for COLT 38 Super

Sorry if I'm posting a repetitive thread but the sticky about SSE had a few outdated shops that used to do SSE and don't anymore.

I'm looking to buy a COLT 38 Super 1911 maybe off gunbroker and looking for a shop that will receive it for me with SSE. Hopefully without breaking the bank and reputable service.

    Any recommendations?

Give OC Armory a call. They ought to be able to accommodate your request.

If you are willing to pay $100 for SSE + transfer fees + DROS, then I know of two shops: American Gun Works in Glendale and PD Gun Supply and Tool in San Fernando.

      Good luck!

That doesn't sound too bad but will they also convert it back for me after I own it or will i have to go else were or learn how to do it myself.

They will help you convert it back once you own it.

EBR Works in Newbury Park can SSE any pistol, .380 to .45. Michael the owner is a great guy. Can't recommend him enough.

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                  Come on...what harm??

+1 for Michael and Michelle at EBR Works. I've done 4 SSEs with them and never had a problem.

OC Armory is awesome. In so many ways. But it's a small business, so check their hours.. ( Irvine area ).

                              .
