The new .45acp XD has a Melonite (Tennifer) finish. It looks like that finish is going into all the lines on new XD handguns. So the issue of finish (over reacted to anyway) has been improved to the best standards.

I don't find the .45acp XD to have that small of a grip. If you have an issue with that, you must also have an issue even more with a 1911. However those that do want more on handguns (rare as it is with double-stackers) usually put a Hogue or other type of grip mod on it. Funny thing I have a USP with a hogue just fine, but I also like the smaller XD frame too. I guess I am pretty flexible. What I don't like about the glock is the angle of the grip to the line of the slide.

XD are great guns. It was my first gun and I was happy with it. Now my Brother is taking care of it for me.

I love my XD-9. I not a big fan of glock because of the grip angel. but that is just me. The XD just fits my hand grip perfict. I think the recoil spring is a little stiff. But agin thats just my 2 cents.
