Looking for a 1911 gunsmith in SD

Hey fellas, like the title states. I'm looking for a 1911 gunsmith that can swap a set of sights for me. Any recommendation? Prefer one with good turn around time.

    Thanks

The gunsmith at Team Big Shot (Miramar road) swapped out my rear sights while I waited. I got there right when they opened so I was the only one in the shop.

I would surely go there again for any 1911 work.

      Good luck!

OP: you should specify the work you are looking to get done. Few places in the SD area are actual gunsmiths. Plenty claim to be since they are "certified Glock armorers" or they can slap together an AR for you. These are the types that might go crosseyed if you ask them to tune your extractor or tighten up the frame and slide for for you. I know Gunsmith Dan is a board member here, and as his name suggests, he is an actual gunsmith. He's done work for me on another pistol that I was quite happy with, and may use him again for another project.

That would be perfect. That would save me a 4 hour trip. I'm in El Centro. I will give them a call. Thanks

            Thanks for the heads up.

My Sig TTT comes with this sights in the rear. I can't stand them. My eye sights isn't be best and I just too used to shoot with 3 dot sights. My front is dotted but can't really focus on it. So I want a bigger fiber optic in the front. I would prefer some target sights in the rear but don't know if I will be able to fit a Bomar style sights in.

X2 on Gusslers. I've used him in the past & won't hesitate to do so again in the future. He replaced pistol sights for me for $25

There is a gun shop in Alpine...

Not sure if they are any good though.

He is a pretty nice guy with a great little store, but I don't think he does any "smith" work.... I'd call him first to check.
