    S&W 500 2.75

I could if sworn this was off the list. Was this always on the approved list? And they only made the 2.75 in the kit, right?

I've never seen a 2.75in 500 Smith... Only the 4inch (which I want REALLY bad)

Wow, a 2.75" 500 S&W... I shot the longer version and the recoil was just too much for me. Great experience but I am done with it

      Good luck OP!

And if you get one, save a lot of money for ammo

I've seen pics, but never one for sale in any LGS (in CA, NV, AZ, TX, or FL) that I've been to, and never on Gun Broker.

But it does look neat. Literally a hand cannon.

The 4inch was ok. Thinking the 2.75 might kick me in the face.

I think it was part of an Alaska Survival kit, Orange box couple of odd and end it geared toward survival in it. A buddy of mine purchase one on a whim at Cabellas a few years ago... he never shot. Thought it might have some collector value. If nothing else a conversation starter!

Yea these were all survival kits. When they first came out they were under 1100. Wonder what there at now?

I wonder how big the muzzle flash will be on that, even with a 4inch barrel, it doesn't give enough time for the powder to burn up.

I saw somebody shooting one at United Sportsman a few years ago. They were a number of lanes down from me, but damn, you'd have thought somebody was shooting off mortars! All off a sudden all you'd hear was BOOM!!!! BOOM!!!! BOOM!!!! Quite a crowd surrounded the guy. And yes, the muzzle flip was extreme. If you are looking for a snubby hand cannon, the Ruger Alaskan in .454 Casull would fit the bill. Am sure they are easier to find.

It seems like at that point you might as well go with a Serbu.
