XS sights

I'm not bashing my sights but I'm thinking of upgrading my cz75b set. Does anyone use these sights...They look pretty good as far as quickly acquiring a sight picture goes.

They are nice sights I have some on the way for my Kimber. They are defense sights not really target shooting sights though so be aware of what you are getting. I also like the AR 45 degree big dots too.

Most people that I have spoke to who have "XS" sights have the Big Dots, and love them. As negolien said, they're primary purpose is for defensive/fast sight acquisition, and not target shooting. With that said most people shooe decently at distance with them, and some have even become proficient shooting them at 25yds, but it will take some practice.

Thinking of buying them for my S&W bodyguard 38 but I'm afraid ill loose accuracy when shooting 15+ yards.

Not a big fan of XS sights. I like 3 dot sight system.
I did have XS sights before and very fast sight acquisition.

Very fast and easier to shoot with both eyes open. Small sacrifice in accuracy. Great for a carry gun.

It really come down to what do you want to do with the gun? I like them on my sub-compacts that I carry every day, for a duty or target gun that you want to or may need to make precise shots with, maybe not.

I put a set on my XD and think they are great. My groupings improved after adding them.

Not really the kind of sights I would think someone would want on a pistol like a CZ-75. I always thought of the XS sights as something met for a self-defense pistol with a short sight radius.

I would suggest something like Trijicons, which are what I am planning on putting on my CZ-75b. I know you aren't bashing the factory sights, but I will say that they are the one thing I actually hate about my gun.

They get bashed pretty hard over at pistol-forum.com. It's a site for serious pistol shooters. One of the moderators there describe XS Big Dots as "sights for people who don't know how to use sights".

If you want a nice sight I'd suggest Ameriglo Hacks, or anything from Warren Tactical.

I and many others don't like anything on the rear sight; that includes dots or dashes.

Hackathorn sights are only made for Glocks,
I think the closet thing to it is Trijicon HD.

I have very little experience with handguns so I cant compare but the sights are not very intuitive. I like a little wiggle room with the front post on rifles and the three dot "combat" picture on 75b is too obstructive on target. The XS idea seemed great but at $150 I don't know. I'm not shooting comp so maybe I'm thinking too much into this and may leave it be. Anything 20ft and under is history anyway...lol !!!

Nice sights

Got mine this evening...I like em... to be honest I think they will be great in a defensive situation. Gonna put em on this Custom II. The sights are in the link below the pics of the Kimber. I have better pics of the 1911 but this one was to post about the Hogue Main Spring Housing.

I had some, very very fast defense sights.. You can target shoot, but it's tough.


I'd use these only on a exclusive self defense gun, where the realistic distance will be 2-10 feet away.
