Jesse James' Colt .45 revolver expected to fetch $1.6million at auction

    Interesting artical.

The six shooter was a favourite of the notorious gunslinger who spent more than 20 years terrorising the America's Mid West with his gang of bandits in the mid 19th century.

Given who the gun belonged to, it presumably has been used in many crimes and has probably been used to kill people during those crimes. So here is my question; Without consideration for the value of the gun, would you want to own a gun that has this kind of history attached to it?
If I had to describe myself in one word it would be "bad at following directions"

The same can be said for pretty much any Garand, mosin nagant, m1 carbine, etc. Personally, I like having the history, even if most of it is unknown.

Even if money wasn't an issue, I probably wouldn't want this gun. I think it belongs in a museum.

It's the history that's going to make somebody pay $1.6M for it.

Of course I would want to own it. The gun itself is an inanimate object. People are what make the history, good or bad.

LC 45 ammo is pretty expensive nowadays.

          I wouldn't buy it!

Saw 2 boxes of it Tuesday at the Santee Walmart. $41/50.

I would totally buy it if I had the money. Talk about a piece of history.
