    Briley Versatility 1911

    Anyone know anything about them? Good, bad? What's a good price for one?

    Briley manufactures gun parts (pretty good quality). IIRC, when they made these pistols, there weren't nearly as many players in the 1911 market as there are now. These were well made, quality 1911s. Pretty good bang for the buck. I think they used either Caspian or SVI frames. If you can get one at a decent price, definitely go for it.

        So you saw the ad. The place is in Yuma, so I wouldn't be paying the shipping, and they do layaway. I've also haggled them down on used gun prices before, so I'm sure I could get it for about $1200-1250 OTD.

          Joking aside.. A very nice looking 1911.

          I think if you can get it for $1200 or less you would be very happy with it.

                Yeah, looks like they start at $2400 and go up from there, so I guess $1300 isn't bad for a nice used one.
