I was able to get out and shoot my new Sig 220 today. The trigger is much smoother than my 226. It feels almost like a really good trigger job was done on it but I bought it brand new. Is this normal?

Sig 220 vs 226 trigger

I had bought a 229 in DAO. I changed my mind and sent it back to SIG and had a DAO/SAO trigger installed. It came back with one of the best triggers I have felt for a factory pistol. Maybe you got a good one. My SIG 220 9mm has a great trigger feel to it also. -
What did that cost you if you don't mind me asking?? Also how was it transfered? Doesn't it have to be sent through and FFL?Quote: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund BurkeComment

SIG did the replacement for $45.00 and they kept the old parts. The price now has gone up considerably. I shipped it back long before all the garbage with shipping through Fed-EX and UPS started. When I got it back I did replace the hammer spring with a 17lbs wolff spring and it made the pull even better.Comment

My stock 226's trigger is pretty creamy, but it only comes second to my Sig Pro 2022's trigger.
If you guys haven't tried the 2022's trigger out, I strongly suggest you do. It was what sold me on the gun.
But in general, IMO Sigs have the best stock triggers out of the box, YMMV.Comment
