Help!!! Got my ruger lcp back

So I sent off my lcp for repair to ruger after 2 weeks (today) I got it back as soon as I looked at it I thought it wasn't my original slide. I took it apart and realize it wasent my slide. There was dings were there hadent been none also the finish inside of slide was super warn out. Lastly we're the take apart pin is located it was at an angle now it's rectangular with a ding. Thankfully I had taken pictures before I sent it off to prove if this would happen. The paper in the box they send me stated they only changed the extractor and fired 30rnds with out problems. Plan on calling them tomorrow morning, since they might not find my original slide. Is it to much to ask for a new slide? Should I talk to the manager? Has anyone come close to something like this from ruger?

Just be professional. Rugers customer service and warranty has a great reputation

And no- a new slide and barrel would not be out of the question.

Ask for a new one. That's not cool.
They should make it right. I hear Ruger has great CS.

It makes me mad when someone messes with my Mrs. Elsie Pea. However, the people at Ruger are great and will make it right. Just tell them what you posted here and you will be taken care of.

Bummer. More time back and forth with the maker, less time shooting.

That's what upsets me another two weeks of waiting. U think they might give me the new slide like the gen 2 with the new raised sights. I wouldn't mind the wait for that new slide.

I've not been enthused by Ruger's CS. Yes they are helpful and turnaround is quick but in my experience the issue was not resolved. I did receive some extra stuff when I got the firearm back but that didn't make up for the issue not being resolved!

In your case, I would call back and make sure they fix the issue.

After speaking with ruger and sending them the pictures of the slide the technician called me back and acknowledge that indeed it wasn't my original slide. He said he would send me a brand new one and laughed at the idea of sending me a new barrel. Oh we'll at least I get a new slide. Hopefully it's not a refinished slide, he said brand new. How would I be able to tell the difference? (New vs Refinished)

I just go my Buffalo Classic back from Remington/H&R. Part of the Williams rear sight was missing. They sent a whole new complete sight ! When Remington bought out H&R they kept the whole H&R repair department personnel and moved them to the new plant.

Hopefully Ruger will be as good for you. In my experience Ruger is not as good. I keep emailing them about an additional cylinder on my Blackhawk, they promise to answer but never reply.

All the Remington family Marlin/H&R/Remington I have faith in. Ditto for Henry Repeating Arms. The best!
