    SP2022 internal extractor question.

I bought a used 9 mm sp2022 from a guy who said he had no issues. Go figure, right? Well the gun has fail to extract issues. The internal extractor is a bit loose and doesn't fully catch the rim if the casings. How do I go about replacing the extractor and spring? I can't seem to find directions to do this.

There is a Gunsmithing section here on Calguns forum or the Sig forum. Perhaps they can help you there.

You're gonna have to send it to Sig, They don't make the internal extractor for the Sigpro anymore. They may swap your slide for a new one with the external extractor.

There is no spring. The extractor is the spring like in a 1911. I bought one late last year that has an internal extractor.

          Have you tried different ammo?

I suggest you find a local Sig Armorer or send to Sig. The 2022 is still on roster so there should be no isses getting it back.
