    Gen 3 Glock 26 Review

The Glock 26 is one of the most popular carry guns for good reason. I've been carrying the Gen3 G26 for a long time and here's what I've found.

    Pros:
-Reliable. The gun has had 0 malfunctions
-Accurate. For s subcompact gun it's relatively easy to shoot well.
    -Durable
    -Easy to maintain
    -TONS of aftermarket support.
-Accepts 15, 17, and 33 round factory magazines
    -Glock's customer service is excellent
-Cheap replacement parts, should you ever need them
-Low Bore Axis resulting in a soft shooting gun, especially for the weight.
-Easily modified to fit the shooters' preferences
-Requires very little cleaning/lubrication to run reliably
-Carries well but you still have a 10+1 capacity.

    Cons:
-Most shooters will not be able to get amore than 3 fingers on the grip.
-Comes with a serrated trigger (even the US made models)

Here's a video with some shooting, a size comparison with the CM9 & S&W Shield, and a discussion of the pros and cons of the gun.

One little issue to be aware of, the recoil spring assembly (RSA) is a weak point. I have a fairly new Gen 3, G26 and the slide suddenly started hanging up about 1/8 to 1/4" and not returning to battery, it even happened several times while shooting. I called Glock and they confirmed the RSA as the problem. I replaced it with an aftermarket stainless steel RSA and the problem went away.

Based on my experience, I bought a stainless RSA for my son's Gen3 G27, the best time to fix a reliability issue is before it happens.

Hoping to get a gen 4 g27 myself (due to the fact I can also swap barrels to save money at the range). Size of the gun is amazing. I'll be sure to get a pinky extender.

thanks for review. the G26 is my favorite sub-compact semi-auto.

Good review thanks for sharing. I so happen also picked up a G26 with some custom work . Haven't fired it yet because
I was waiting to a new spring kit which arrived today. looking forward to doing my own review with the DPM installed.

Quick question. What magazine follower are you running? Also what's your preference in premium defensive ammo?

Reason why I ask is that I have a G19 Gen3 with the 2183-1 Followers, they tend to hang up on the last round if I am running JHP rounds. It's a known issue, I need to give Glock a call and ask them to send me a handful of 9mm3 Followers.

Have had a Gen 4 26 for over a year now and carry it daily.

Great gun and I like the finger extension.

Review must be disregarded. Obvious Glock fanboy.

                          Great video as always!

G26s are one of the best carry guns and one of my favorite Glocks.

My old g26 was a bit snappy with the recoil. No one else has had that problem?

Love my baby Glock 26. Has just about all the same upgrades as the Glockstore's custom Predatar model G26. Just need the Predetar cut slide and I'm there. Surprisingly accurate for a sub-compact.
