      No, he didn't say 2.

If he had said '2' it would have been 'reduces muzzle flip' or something like that.

But he starts with one of Newtons laws

Don't know why u guys are saying they don't feel a difference, stock from a comp barrel. Less muzzle rise and when rapid fire a huge difference.

To everyone else who's saying there's no difference. U guys are either stupid and don't shoot enough to tell a difference or just read too much on the internet
The internet has given voice for the incredibly stupid people

And Newton's third law of motion has nothing to do with how a comp works? OP did ask what the vents do. Re-read first post if you missed it.

You fail at reading comprehension. No where did I say you were wrong. I just agreed it was a smart *** comment

Thanks for the informative comments. As for fmunk, do you really think I wanted an answer like that? Do u think I wanted you to explain to me that when gasses blow out of the ports, it compensates for muzzle rise? If so, was it necessary to explain it the way you did?

there are times when it's a good idea to explain something through science, and there are times when it's best just to explain what it does.

When you try to explain a compensated barrel through newton's laws it makes your sounds like a tool, troll, or a smart ***

you use the energy equation to show that a .45acp and a 9mm doesn't have that much of a energy gap, smart.

My son has the extended and ported LW barrel on his Glock 20. There is a difference in the felt recoil, plus it looks cool.

Doesn't projectile velocity/energy suffer from a ported barrel?

The whole point of the cut out on the 34 & 35 slides is to reduce weight and increase/keep reliability on par with a 17/22.

The bullet is exiting the barrel as the gasses begin to exit the vents and the barrel was extended so it's really rather negligible.
