    P226 combat thoughts

What are your thoughts in the 226 combat? Does the FDE frame really make it more valuable than a comparable black frame 226?

No, unless you want to be tacticool. The Combat series does have phosphated internals and a hard chrome-lined barrel though (features that you can get on a MK25).

I'm not a huge fan of the QR code. Hmmmm

Just peel it off. It's only a sticker.

I've always felt that most of the sig line outside of the originals is just window dressing. Just a way to get you pay an additional $100 over an already more expensive gun.

(And I like sigs, I just don't see the point of paying for all the frippery when the regular 226 is going to do the same thing as the Sig 226 X Ver 2.0 Tacti-Uber 2014 edition).

But to each his own. If you like it... go for it. It's your $ and I've certainly spent $ on things that would have made other people scratch their heads.

My wife is picking up her 226 Combat this weekend and I remember her paying it for the same price as all black. Just my opinion, it should cost a little bit more because they are hard to find and pretty to look at.

I pick up my MK25 Saturday morning. First thing I am going to do is take the sticker off.

What color is under the FDE? Say I bought one and dropped it in the dirt and kicked it just because that's what a combat style gun is designed to withstand, what is the likelihood of the FDE finish turning to crap? I tend to run my guns hard and don't need a safe queen.

Don't know what color is under the fde but one thing I know for sure, it will be a safe queen. She bought it because of the finish and she refers to it as "Gold". Women!.
