    Finally! Shield is home

Like many others, I have been drooling over the Shield ever since I heard about it. I've never even had a chance to hold one in an LGS. Thanks to Calguns, I learned about Placer Tactical a month ago. Rick was awesome and gave me a heads up as soon as a Shield was in stock. Being prepared to wait on a list for months, I had a non-CA Shield 9 DROS'd 3 weeks after first contacting him.

    Well here she is!

I am very happy with my experience with Placer Tactical. Rick is super easy to work with. In 20 days, I will be back there to get my Gen4 G19. Thanks, Rick!

Congrats! I just picked one up from Rick about 2 weeks ago. I'm very pleased with mine.

Rick is one of the coolest FFLs ever. I could go on but there isn't much else to say. He is a little bit of drive for me but considering he is a good guy, I'll be going through him for now on.

All you need to do is find a seller/dealer on Gunbroker or online that is willing to sell to a CA FFL who will work with you (like OC Armory).

FS: Atlas Bipod, Custom G23 RMR slide, ETS mags, Jagerwerks, Recover G26/27, CZ Scorpion bits, etc.

Absolutely. Placer county has about a 5 month wait for an appointment. I will be setting an appointment tomorrow.

I EDC a 9mm Shield in a Remora holster, very comfortable and secure as you too will find out.
I see that you have one of the newer versions with the app scan (or whatever it's called) at the end of the serial number. Here's a photo of mine without it, purchased earlier this year.
                      Enjoy!

So what's the deal with that? I noticed my Shield also has the same thing.

BTW, to the OP - Talon rubber grips feels awesome on this gun. Texture looks the same as the factory texture so it matches the rest of the gun.

I also just picked one up, in 9mm. I'm also planning to carry it (instead of my Glock 27).. still trying to figure out a minimalist holster choice for appendix IWB. So far I like it, especially how thin it is. I don't really care for the thumb safety though.
