wait wut? Why not buy the XD SC in 9mm?

I haven't shot other sub compacts, but I do like how the XD SC has a rail... I have a viridian C5L on mine for if / when I want a laser light combo.

I'd love to carry my 92 daily. But being 5'8" and 145 pounds has it's limitations.
I'm a 31 waist and wear size small t-shirts. I simply can't carry anything much larger and I refuse to wear clothes too large for me.

XDS or Kahr would be good sub compacts to look at

I own both a g26 and kahr PM9 i prefer my g26. If your going to use it for CCW i would stay away from off roster guns.

Curious about how the baby Glocks compare to the XDs in 9 or 45.

I have been carrying a Springfield Armory XDsc 9mm for five years now. I have put over 1000 rounds through it with no problems what so ever. It is as accurate as full size pistols and conceals well. If you have large hands I recommend the after market magazine plates.

Tough to beat a G26 w/ a set of Trijicon HD's. I'm running these on my G17 uspsa gun and my G26. I think you'll like them for idpa. Great all-around sights.

G26, all the way...just as accurate as any of the full size Glocks

There is very little reason to avoid off roster guns for CCW. They are legal to buy, legal to own, and legal to put on your permit. There is a small chance that a lawyer will criticize your choice at your self defense trial, but that would be easy to deal with - it is easy to prove that the roster is not for "safe" guns and any gun not on it is "unsafe". But if one is concerned about that then by all means carry rostered guns with your CCW.

                              They are much thicker.

I like my SIG p290RS, it comes standard with nightsights and two mags, one six and one eight rounds.
