Smith should take care of you no problem. I sold my sigma to a friend a couple years ago. He tried to do his own trigger job to it and screwed it up pretty bad. It ended up being randomly 3 round burst. He called smith and they replaced all the internals for him at no charge even though it was his bad and he was the second owner. I believe they even paid the shipping.

That's why he was only asking $500 for a $1200 gun.

S&W probably will take care of it. Question is why the seller would do that knowingly? That's just bad karma.

Good thing you saw it before you went to the range. I always go to range after receiving the gun..

That sucks, as always look for sellers with consistent feedback and some interaction through the forums. I've done multiple PPT's from here and they've always functioned well

              Yup totally scammy sounding.

I've been burned enough in the classifieds. Of course, it could still happen again.

You get what you pay for. In my experience, if something looks to good to be true....it most often is. Smith will make it right and you still have a $1200 gun for cheaper than a Ruger GP-100.

Sellers name please. He obviously knew it was cracked if he was selling it for that price. It should have been common knowledge before you bought it.

Wow.. That's some shady stuff. Perhaps the seller was no aware, but given the price of the gun, and what the gun is actually worth in mint condition, I'd be temped to say that the seller was aware of the crack.
