I have a G19 w/o a rail (gen II) -- what can I use for a good mounted light? I really don't like using the Streamlite/Maglite flashlights.

This is probably useless information, but I have seen lights that mount to the forward part of the trigger guard. I was going to go that route until I bought my III generation G19 and that solved the problem.
Also, if you have the budget, a Glock armorer told me I could send my frame to Glock and they would modify it for me. It is kinda spendy though. -

Last time I checked with Glock, it was $180 or so. The thing is, they don't modify your frame, they replace it with a new unit, so when they ship it back it has to go through an FFL as the serial number will have changed.Originally posted by WokMaster1

If your Gen II doesn't have finger grooves, you can probably find someone who wants the old style grip frame and will swap with you for a 3rd gen, it will just cost you the transfer fees.
You might even be able to sell it for the price of a new one if you find someone who really really wants one badly.If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

I like my Glock brand light. They are cheaper than the other brands out there. The on/off switch is harder to manipulate than other brands so long fingers help.
Here is mine on a G21
