    G35 Gen 4

So I have a G35 Gen 4. I bought / carried it as a duty weapon for about 1-2 years. I'm thinking about selling / trading come January (my dept issued me a new G35 Gen 4) but am unsure on value. I would like to get a gently used Sig P229 or sell it.

What is the word from the peanut gallery?

Additional info - the gun has some holster wear but under 1000 rounds through it. In addition the pistol also has Glock Night Sights.

How often does the police department provide a new fire arm usually?

Once the old ones wear out. In this case the old weapons were 15 years old. I bought my own G35 Gen 4 to carry around 2 years ago.

                  OK...just another question...

Would it be reasonable to look for a trade for:
Sig P229 .40 in good condition
Glock 34 Gen 4 in very good condition.

                  Thanks all for your input.

Seems reasonable. In my opinion, I would rather have the Glock than Sig, so the Glock holds more value in my eyes. If the sig is what you want and someone would trade, I say go for it. The Sig is worth more normally

Why not get a 40 to 9mm barrel for you G35 and some 9mm magazines? surprised any department is issuing the longer G35 over a G22

                        Southpaw,

I'm on the range staff and made sure we got a batch of the longslides. They are a huge hit and I have close to another 20 who want one when we get more in. Nothing shoots like them.

I just want the 9mm because it will last longer and is just fun to shoot.

I have a new G35 gen 4, just not had time to shoot it. Never shot a long slide Glock. Any experience or opinion on shooting ported barrels on these?

I've kept mine stock because it was a duty gun. But I think the ported barrel would make it very mild to shoot.

We have both a 34 and 35 and enjoy both!
