    Walther P99AS

I have been looking for over 3 years for a decent P99AS 9mm, new, used.......nada out there.

I know there are changes going on, but what gives? I know they pop into the market from time to time, where do these come from? I seem to always be a day late.

Where are you located? Do you have a Dan Wesson Razorback in 10mm in good shape you are willing to trade?

I shot a P99 many years ago and loved it. Explain to me how to get a PPQ here, if you dont mind.

Look on Gunbroker and find one, check with the seller & make sure they'll ship it to CA. Ship it to a FFL like OC Armory www.ocarmory.com & have them SSE it for you $125 out the door DROS included.

They are hard to find used because most owners love them and refuse to flip them. They were coming in in small batches for a few years, but their focus has been the PPQ. To my knowledge it hasn't officially been discontinued by Walther. S&W is the official USA importer. Earls repair service has them, or can get them directly from Germany, but you pay a pretty good premium for them.

              Good luck.

They don't really offer the as trigger model anymore and those of us they have one rarely will sell them. I have one of the original ones and unless someone offered me double or more the current msrp i would never consider getting rid of it.

I've got an early first gen one with an OD green frame and definitely have no intention of ever selling it. Being a 1911 man at heart, it's my favorite plastic gun without a doubt.

I know for me, I prefer the SA/DA of the P99AS... vs the strictly SA of the PPQ.

What a coincidence... just put up one of my 1st gen P99s in the classifieds.

Not sure that's the case anymore now that Walther America is up and running. They've certainly pulled the parts and service arm back from S&W...

My first handgun was a Walther P99 AS Gen 1, been with me since 2001. I've sold my HK USP compact .40 and MPA 9mm but my Walther P99 is here to stay.

I love mine too. The rear sight takes some time to get used to, at least for me. It is much wider than on any other guns I have.
