    need an honst Opinion

so im thinking of trading my S&W M&P9 for a gen 2 glock22 ,in good condition, with 2 10 rnd mags, 2 15 rnd rebuild kits, and one 22 rnd rebuild kit, plus the carry case and such......

anyone think this is a bad deal ?

    Which model Glock?

If it's a Gen 2 G19 or G17, then I'd say it's a fair trade when taking into consideration what the market value is going for each in the Classifieds.

I would do it just cuz I don't like the trigger on the MP9. Trigger aside, i'd say its a decent deal if you want a 40sw and if the Glock isnt beat up/has a low round count.

yeah I really like the feal of the 22, I tyed my friends this weekend and it just felt right in my hand, I was shocked because the M&P was said to be the best poly gun as far as ergos and price go, which is why I bought one.
and on another note, I like the idea of having a larger cal, and plus .40 is super easy to find in my area, 9mm not so much
and the huge market for glock parts is a big plus with me

Target shooting, conceal, home defense, IDPA/USPSA, chasing off critters? Depends really on what fits your needs and what you shoot better. You could give me something for free but if I don't shoot it well or it is not aligned with what I need it for, it has no value.

Its a second gen. Its probably not going to have a low round count. Plus factory spare parts with the exception of the slide and barrel are dirt cheap and easy to find.

I was told it has less than 1000 rounds threw it. the current owner is an older man in his late 60's early 70's that never really used it. at least that's what hes saying

Just me but I wouldnt do it. I prefer the M&P and you might as well go for GEN 3 OR GEN 4 if you are going to get a glock.

In the 30 days that I've been shooting my Glock 19, I put 1300 rounds through it. I'm not saying the guy is lying to you, but you should carefully inspect the parts that wear to see if it's been fired a lot or not well taken care of.

Mine still looks pretty new aside from the hood of the barrel (the top rectangular spot). There's also some other minor wear around the barrel. I also clean mine after every range trip, which is usually 200 rounds.

Don't give up on the M&P yet. Check out Apex Tactical. They make some kits for the M&P that will really make you want your M&P back.
