1. depends on storage conditions. Cool and dry is better.
2. I have been using some military surplus 8mm from the 40's and 50's and it works great
3. usually just hangfires or no fires. In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

I don't see any exception relating to a permit, so I think your correction is incorrect.
"12318. (a) Commencing July 1, 2009, the sale or other transfer of
ownership of handgun ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face
transaction with the seller or transferor being provided bona fide
evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee. A
violation of this section is a misdemeanor."
OP:
I do not know of any restrictions and have purchased thousands of rounds from the internet.Comment

Internet sales will not be illegal, they will need a permit, face to face is not required providing you give a bona fide evidence of identity, (copy of your Drivers license)I don't see any exception relating to a permit, so I think your correction is incorrect.

Where do you get Face-to-face is not required out of "may only occur in a face-to-face transaction"?
Unless I'm reading something wrong, or there is some other quotable section from elsewhere in the bill, I think we'll be stuck with face-to-face, IF it passes, or isn't challenged.sigpicNRA Life MemberComment

I think you're parsing that incorrectly. Should go:12318. (a) Commencing July 1, 2009, the sale or other transfer of
ownership of handgun ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face
transaction with the seller or transferor being provided bona fide
evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee. A

Face to face OR
(a) Commencing July 1, 2009, the sale or other transfer of
ownership of handgun ammunition may only occur
in a face-to-face transaction
with the [ seller or transferor ] (that is, the person who has the ammo at the beginning of the transaction, whether it is a sale, gift, trade or whatever)
being provided bona fide evidence of identity
from the purchaser or other transferee.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
