Help Identifying Glock 19 Magazine

I need help identifying this 10rd Glock 19 magazine. I bought it from Altatac and came in the OEM Glock plastic clamshell packaging. Is it a Gen 2,3,or 4? It's got the notches on both sides but no center notch.

It's a gen 4. Double notches are for ability for mag release to be reversed.

Thanks, I was thinking that too but I noticed some Gen 4 mag pics that have the double notch and a metal center notch.

I have a couple gen 4 mags for my G20 that have the double notch but not the center one. Its totally normal. I'm not sure what that center notch is even for anyway. They all run fine.

I notice you have the 2183 followers in those mags. I had some problems with mine and Glock replaced them free of charge. So just in case....

^^^ Who do we call or write to at Glock to get them changed out? I have a bunch of 9mm magazines that need up-dated followers.

Call Glock CS directly and make sure you have your guns serial number handy as they will ask you for it. I called and had the new followers at my door within 5-7 days

So it's confirmed that I have Gen 4 mags? But with outdated followers?

Edit: Looks like the 2183 followers are for 10round mags to help keep it from loading "11"


Will Glock agree to change your follower if you're from a 10rd state?

It just takes a few mags to load them to 10 rounds. Just a little more force or if you have a uplula loader will help a lot. Not sure what kind of problems you've had but I've put 250 rounds thru each of my mags and have not had any issues. Run great.

Loading them to 10 is not a problem, I think some people were having reliability problems, feed failures, etc, with the 2183.

I haven't used this mag yet. For now, I just to want to know which gen version mag I have( preferably a Gen 3 or 4) so I can order more.
