    Remington Golden Saber

What do you guys think of this ammo? Picked some up yesterday, have yet to try it out. Acceptable for home protection/SHTF? Thanks in advance.

I have heard the same as above. I have been keeping an eye out for a box to try myself.

Remington Golden Saber is excellent ammunition, clean and consistantly accurate for me at least. I think the book, "Street Stoppers" has it rated as #1 or #2 overall compared to Hydrashock. I think that's the book, it's got many reviews of shooting reports for different calibers and brands.

When I lived in a free state, I carried the 185 grain +P in my .45. Fantastic ammo, never had a problem. For practice ammo, you can buy the same bullet from Midway and reload the cartridges. (Not a single problem in >5000 shots.)
