Big +1 on walmart for ammo. I got 100 rounds of 9mm for 10 bucks, a brick of 22 for 8, and WWB 40 round "value packs" for 10 bucks also. When he asked how many I wanted, what else could I say but all of them. To which he responded "All of them?!" If you havn't experienced that yet your missing out.
            Please, calm down.

              wolf from russia

I've been shooting Wolf .45 ammo from cheaper than dirt for a couple of months and have been happy with it. Shot about 1000 rounds with no misfires and no stovepipes in my glock 21. Two things to note however.

              1) They use steel casing on the rounds, which means some shooting ranges won't let you shoot it there. Yesterday when I went to reeds they told me their recycler will not accept steel or aluminum casings. However, most outdoor ranges will let you shoot it no problem.

              2) They seal the primer with some kind of red glue. After about 100 rounds it wears off on your firing pin. Not a bad thing but just kind of strange, cleans off easliy.

It's really cost effective ammo around $0.19 a round including shipping by my estimates(although, I am a cheaper than dirt member).

You can buy it here http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM520-3595-208.html.

Disclaimer: I'm a noob and I've only been shooting for 6 months.

Beware of the Wolf or any steel case ammo if you are shooting it in a 1911 as the extractor takes a beating. I use Wallyworld 100 packs of Winchester for $20 in mine.

word. I remember going in their and asking how much 9mm they had, and when they said 7 boxes (the 100 round WWB boxes), I said "Well, I guess that will be enough", the look on their faces was priceless

gotta love the price of the wallyworld .45 value packs from Winchester. Only draw back is how dirty the stuff is.

No wonder there wasnt much there when I got there Yesterday I bought some 9mm and 45 and the girl put all that in one plastic bag. While I was walking out, a box of 9mm ended up falling out and spilling all 100 rounds all over the freakin isle.

What you should do next time is when you hear they have 7 boxes, start mumbling to yourself and number crunching. Hold out your hand and start counting on your fingers while mumuring things like "that's 700 rounds total...suppresive fire while moving...double taps up close...that's roughly six magazines per box...a magazine per minue...that's almost 47 minutes....." then let out a heavy sigh, and ask "You don't have ANY more?" Then look disapointed and say "alright, fine...I'll take the 7 you got."
