    I will never believe again

Ok you can call me naive but here it is: If you have tried to buy a used pistol on armslist, you will notice that most will say that "only about 100 rounds fired through it", i just had my first range day today and with my brand new glock and I shot 100 rds in less than an hour, I think I was taking my time aiming and making sure my grip was right. so for the first time gun buyer, be skeptical about any advertisement cuz you cant prove it.

Zero rounds, one hundred rounds, or ten thousand rounds out of a glock will shoot the same.

Not exactly, you gotta replace the recoil spring after 5k round for a extreme cost of $10.

With a new spring or two a 10k round pistol is just as goos as a new one though.

i agree that most posted low round counts in for sale ads are usually bs but it does happen

for instance collectors with many firearms who dont get around to shooting them all, or someone who bought a gun shot it once and realized its not for them

            That happens quite frequently.

How about an AR barrel with "maybe 200 rounds through it"?

that is code for "I shot the crap out of it doing mag dumps until the hand guards melted"

my rant is not that a gun can't handle more than a 100 rds, but its just to dam fun to stop at a 100 rds, therefore most low count post are bs, and occasionally you will run to collectors that don't shoot much through that gun but highly unlikely for a work horse of a gun

I own 10 guns at least that have fewer than 100 rounds through em. But then I do collect and also own shooters. I have tens of thousands trough a glock and a CZ I own.

I've had a G19 for 5 years and put less than a hundred rounds through it. I've had a G26 for over 4 years and put less than 50 rounds through it. I've had a Sig P228 for over 3 years and put less than 50 rounds through it.
Then again I have another G19 that I put 500 rounds through the first time I shot it.

My point is that it does happen. I have many guns, some I shoot, some not so much. And I never buy used guns unless I have no other means of getting the gun I want. People lie.

I have at least 2 or 3 of each handgun I own. Some have 50rds through them some have not been fired.

Any handgun with under a 1000rds through it is still brand new.

I've bought 2 pistols from members here, both had way more rounds through them than advertised. I bought them both anyway because they were good deals.

I think it's pretty normal that people lie about the round count, unfortunately

Then you run into an oldd guy like me that has no idea how many rounds any of my guns have through them. I have only sold one gun in my entire life and regretted it I gave two to my sister and many to my son. I don't keep track of the round count and to be honest unless it is a howitzer or a barrel off of an M1A1 I take it for what it is a used pistol or rifle. If you want a low round count why not buy a new gun?
Just my guns and my thoughts.

                              He obviously lied.

All used pistols are supposed to have '200 rounds down the pipe'.
                              That's the industry standard.

Oh, and buy the gun - not the story.
