Glock Ameriglo I.C.E. Claw Rear Sight Review

The CLAW rear sight was designed to aid in one handed manipulations and it does just that. I've had it on my Glock 19 for a while and here's what I've found.

    Pros:
-It really grabs onto hard surfaces to aid in one handed racking of the slide
-Standard heights for Glock (large and small frame), and M&P pistols
-Black nitrided finish for durability and hardness
-Cost. It's only $24 for the rear sight. Tough to beat that.

    Cons:
-I'd like to see serrations on the rear of the sight but that would likely add cost. It's a trade off I suppose.

Here's a video with some shooting, close up shots of the sight on the gun, and my overall thoughts one the sight:

Nice. I run Ameriglo CAP sights in Orange/Red on my G19 Gen3. They are superb.

Watched a guy try to rack the slide on his xd on his belt when I was up shooting off Mormon immigrant this summer. Dumb basterd shot right through his 5.11 pants into the back of his leg When he slipped. I'm sorry its not really funny but people who think they are hot **** and try to show off really do get what's coming to them. After all the commotion died down and he realized he wasn't going to die he started saying real loudly oh the piece of **** belt was the problem ..blah blah blah.

Have to say i like these sights, great idea and great addition to an already great tool l think. But man how many times and from how many people have do you gotta here " manual of arms" from to f ing get it.

If well instructed and practiced, this technique is part of a "complete toolkit", IMHO.

Unfortunately, quite a few people see something on a Magpul video (or YouTube, etc.) and just start doing it without really having any idea how it's done.

The requirement to keep the gun pointed AWAY from your body and your finger OFF OF THE TRIGGER does not magically go away when performing one-handed techniques.
