Showing off some glock slide machining

Since Salient won't do the machining part of a Glock without selling you a $2500 pistol I decided I wanted to figure out a way to add some front serations to my Glock 17 and lighten up the slide a little. Here's where it ended up.

I had the slide drawn up and cut on a CNC machine. It turned out pretty damn good so my buddy decided to send in his G22. Both guns shoot really sweet now and it didn't take 6-8 weeks to get done like some places.

We're going to have them cerakoted soon!
    Stippling was done by myself.

(Please if you're one of the guys who is anti modifying guns just keeps your words to yourself. I have plenty of unmolested guns and this is just something fun. We've all heard you're opinions before so just let it go.. thanks)

Anybody who complains about that probably complains when his gun gets a scratch. Looks awesome.

How does it shoot differently? Have been curious to the benefits of a lighter slide. Do you use a lighter recoil spring?

I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I feel like there's less front sight dip and i also feel like it locks back into battery without the bounce it felt like it had before. I could be wrong but it definitely feels different... in a good way!!

I've been using a #13 ismi spring and im going to experiment with the #11

I should add that he cut the rear serrations and the front ones about %25 deeper and they have awesome grip now!! The serrations feel like a fresh cut 1911 slide now.

I'm not sure. I dont own a scale accurate enough to weigh it. I don't think my chargemaster will weigh that much weight either

Nice! I like the bare metal look also.

That's probably the best milling on a Glock slide I've seen. How much weight was removed? I would expect you might want to use a heavier spring, or you may see some structural damage to the slide over time. Best.
