    Curious about the SIRT pistol

To anyone who has or has used a SIRT trainer pistol:

Are your "hits" with the SIRT directly indicative of hits with live ammo? In other words, if I can keep the laser in the 10-ring with a SIRT, am I going to get approximately the same groups with live fire? Of course, I understand that the trainer can't simulate recoil and can't help you with split times.

Do you think it's worth the $200 for the basic model?

It's not meant to simulate actual ammunition. More to help you practice and avoid flinching.

Its definitely helped me w/ trigger control. Doesn't help with my flinching issue (anticipation) when I go to the range, but overall it was worth it to me just w/ the practice on the trigger.

It is a good training tool. You can do other stuff with it, run, obstacles, cross train with it and still get it on target safely.
