Finally got a chance to take my new 500 6.5 to the range. What a blast, literally! I only shot 10 rounds cause I want to save the rest of the ammo for an upcoming camping trip. I was using Parabellum Research 400gr. Grouping wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was at an outdoor range and using just my Howard Leight electronic muffs was sufficient. I gave a friendly warning to shooters on either side of me, and they said they could really feel the concussive force. One guy was 2 bays away and could feel it also. I couldn't feel the concussive force at all, and the recoil wasn't as bad as some people say, although I did use gloves. The only place I felt a little pain was on my right hand between my thumb and index finger below where that webbing between them is. Can't wait for more!

Good stuff!
Btw, that's where you should feel the pain. And in your wallet, too
The concussive force goes to the side so it's not unusual that they felt it while you didn't.
