Don't forget to get the Crimson Trace Laser Guard for it.

It really complements the gun well. I like it on mine.

Everyone is entitled to "just my preference", and I'd never call anyone foolish for preferring even a very, very slight advantage.

It has to be noted however, that reloads are only necessary in about .5% of citizen-self-defense incidents, and that there has never been even a single recorded case of someone making "that one shot" with an empty magazine well.

Therefore, any disadvantage created by a magazine disconnect is pretty much in the category of unicorns and Bigfoot.

As noted, the device is easily removed, which results in (IMHO) a nicer, cleaner trigger break. That's probably enough reason, unless your CCW-issuing authority has a problem with it.

There are a lot more things that may happen that would require you to remove the magazine or accidentally have it released in a scuffle and only leave you with that one round in the chamber.

Would reaaaallly suck to need that round and not be able to use it.

I removed the mag disconnect on my SR9c shortly after purchasing. Seemed like a bad thing to have in a carry gun. Thanks for all the input. I really like my SR9c. Actually shoot it better without the pinky extension.
I have one of each: stainless and blue. My guess is that you will like either.

I was delighted the first time I fired the SR40c. Like one of the other posters in this thread, I was imagining that the 40S&W round would have a nasty recoil. Instead, the gun proved extremely easy to handle and the recoil seemed more mannerly to me than with 9mm. YMMV.

Anyway, the SR40c is a neat little pistol.

Yes it would suck horribly if it ever happened. It never has. Given the number of self-defense incidents each year involving firearms, it would amount to something like less than 1 chance out of many, many millions.

So it's clearly in the "it could happen" category, but likely not anything to lose sleep over.

No sleep lost. My carry guns dont have that problem.
