Glock 34 10 Round Magazine vs Glock 17 10 Round Magazine

Can anyone confirm if there is a difference between a Glock 34 10 round magazine and a Glock 17 10 round magazine?

I have been told the Glock 34 10 rounders are longer.

Every source seems to consider Glock 17/34 10 rounder as identical.

I've been told that for a build I am doing, I should go with Glock 34 10 rounders as they are longer and will fit my lower better.

If this is true, does anyone know where or know the part number to find these "Glock 34 10 rounders?"

Thanks in advance for the help.

Their identical, G18 mags are longer being 33rdrs. If you need more length add extended floor plates.

        They're the same magazines.

My buddy has both a 17 and 34 and the mags work with each other. You can also use a 17 magazine in a Glock 19, and a Glock 26, but they will stick past the base.

What build are you doing? Something in the ar platform where you're using glock mags?

          Hi B16,

Yes. When researching a bolt carrier from JP Enterprises - I got:

"BTW, If you need a 10 rd mag, use the G34 mag. The follower on the 10 rd G17 mags is different and if the bolt tries to close on an empty mag it can damage the follower. No problem with the standard cap mags at all."

So the follower is different? Since these guys build 9MM AR's you think they would know their stuff for certain??

I don't believe Glock packages and sells a G34 or G35 magazine. And, as I review the price list for Glock parts, they don't distinguish between the parts in the two.

The Glock 34 and 17 lowers are EXACTLY the same, and use the same magazine.

Seems JP Enterprises made a mistake when they said I needed to get a G34 10 rounder to feed with their bolt carrier.

                  They meant Glock 26.

                  So the Glock 26 10 rounder feeds differently than a 17/34 ?

The follower on the 9mm Glock magazines are the same parts as well.

                    Something like this:

                    or

The only difference is that the body of a 26 is considerably shorter compared to the 17/34.

I don't know much about the 9mm ar platforms, but I can answer the Glock parts stuff.
