    Glock price question

I m decently knowledgable about guns now.. I ve been into them for a little over 2 years and learned a ton from calguns..

But I was at the LGS yesterday and I asked the shop owner if he had any G19 or G17 gen 4s in... he had a black g19 gen4 for $650 plus tax... that seemed a bit high to me but I havent looked into hand gun prices for a while..he then tells me he ll be back he has a g17 in back... he comes back with a FDE g17 gen 3 for $700... I kinda get the feeling he went back and put a new tag on the g17... I probably dont look like the avg gun enthusiast, more like a college kid but I think those are ridiculous prices and I really got a very shady feeling from him... please correct me if I wrong??

Those are a high in price. I would check out Riflegear or OC Armory if you are interested in a Gen 4 Glock or any of the other items in your signature.

Yea I dont usually go to this LGS, I prefer Turners, AmmoBros, Riflegear, DAS(if i ever go out that far), and probablymost often CGN marketplace... put he does SSE and I was looking for a gen 4 glock...

I just get the most shady vibe from him.. its CWS in Highland down in San Bernardino.. most of the customers in there dont seem like the responsible gun owner crowd ...

Look for a shop that doesn't charge for sse. I believe gen 4 go for around $550-$600. Check the glock store in San Diego.

I wouldn't pay more than $599. But that's just me.

Glock store doesn't sell gen 4's to civilians...their gen 3's are always $499

Call DAS and get your name on the wait list for their g19 g4 for $599

                    Mean time just call around

Oc firearms has 19s for 575 or about 640 otd. He seems to be getting a new shipment weekly, so got would not have to wait long.

My most expensive LGS charges $625 for a gen 3. Cheapest in town is about $550. There's not much competition here in Slo county so they charge whatever they want. One of the local places even event as far as to tell me that even though I qualify for the blue label program the price is still $599.99. The only thing blue label gets me is one more magazine over the standard 2 mags that come with any other Glock. Needless to say I will never shop there again. Not when the blue label price is set by Glock and is supposed to be under $450 for a gen 3.

I feel all Glocks are worth $500 +/- a little. I'd keep looking.

For a Gen 4 out the door should be no more than $650.
I just paid about $630 for my G19 and my G17 in Jail right now.
                            Broke down like this:
                            $540 for gun
                            $40 for SSE
                            Rest was Tax

the pricing on both Glocks is high. you've gotten some good leads here on this thread. get the good deal and pick up a few extra magazines.
