    Identify This Old 1911

I pretty much know nothing about it. It's small, appears to be a 3.5" barrel. It came with two factory mags which hold 6 rounds.

If need be I can take some better photos, I just don't have my camera gear handy.

Are you serious? It's a Colt... Look at the slide... Then Google it.

Uh....like Gutz said ... why do you need to identify something that clearly says "Colt M1991A1" on one side and "Compact Model" on the other?

I'm guessing it's a Colt M1991A1, Compact Model. But I could be wrong.

Unless, the OP is being facetious.

It's a knockoff piece of crap. I'll take it for $150 but you're totally ripping me off. I feel bad for you so I'm making you a killer deal.

Hmm by the slide... looks like a RIA 1911.

OMG!!!! That's like one of those dangerous unsafe guns that can suddenly jump up and go into an explosive rage for no reason! Better hand it over to me for safe keeping. I'm like totally okay with it 'cuz I watched every episode of Sons of Guns, American Guns and Top Shot. Oh and every Michael Bay movie too!

I'm still looking for the "old 1911" in your photo. Couldn't find it. To me, the one depicted is still a spankin' new model. Seems like I just saw it at SHOT not too long ago as "new from Colt".

Probably not even broken in yet.

It is clearly incredibly dangerous! If you leave it alone it just compels people to start shooting people all on it's own. Thankfully it only has a 6 round mag...

Honestly, I couldn't find much information Colt M1911A1 Compacts and Colt's website couldn't identify it by serial, nor could they when I called their support line.

My father doesn't even know where he got it, other than it was acquired before I was born.
Apparently my firearms googlefu is pretty weak though.
