    S&W 686

I have a s&w 686 no dash and when I got it,it had pachmeyers that the previous owner put on.i have a set of original wood grips that I want to put back on since I don't really care for the pachmeyers.the thing is I need the factory brass screw to put them back on,i emailed s&w directly and they said they no longer carried them.so the question is where else can I get one from?

I'd check out Brownells or Numrich to see if they have anything that'll work.

Wood stocks on a S&W Revolver Rule.

From about 1979 to 1984 it seemed like every revolver shooter in America thru away their factory stock and replaced them with Pachmyers. It is all about wood revolver stocks, don't let anyone kid you.

The above post should have what you're looking for. I'd include more than one. Side plate screws too, not all are the same length. Factory Main springs and trigger return springs would be a plus. Everybody and their dog likes to replace these with non standard springs, I don't know why. Over-stretch, cut, lose. GoodLuck.

And I thought I was the only one! Fortunately I found my old beautiful Beretta M 84 grips after 20 years of the Pachmyers. They are now safely on the gun.

Can't say the same for my Gold Cup grips, which are now MIA.
            Come and Take It!

Hell no, especially when they appear to be Boston Terriers
