Just did paperwork on a DW CBOB. I've had a few colt commanders and a kimber that have ran good but I've always wanted a bobtail for off duty carry. Ive had my eye on a Ed Brown Kobra Carry since they came out but I never could justify the $2400+ (back then) price tag. To play with the DW it feels ever bit as tight as any EB or Wilson I've felt. Anyone else have one? I just order 250rds of Winchester ranger T series. I was told by the previous owner he carried corbon 230gr that looks like a shot glass the HP so big. He said it would feed anything he put in it. I had an old kimber that wouldn't even chamber corbons from the Mag. I would like to hear feedback from any DW owners. Their isn't much on YouTube about them. I will do a full review when I get a couple 100rds threw it. This is the first handgun in a while I've actually excited to get! Like a kid at Christmas! Lol

Lots of DW fans here and I am sure they will chime in soon. I have had the pleasure of renting a CBOB and shooting 100 rds through it. It was a wonderful experience but that's about all I can say.

The Dan Wesson CBOB is AWESOME! I can tell you first hand, that Ed Brown's carry models are definitely nicer, but not by much. CBOB is an incredible value (even at todays prices). You'll never shoot an Ed Brown and feel like you are lacking anything with your CBOB. Congrats!

I have both the Cbob and a Kobra Carry. They both pass the blindfold test as I have a difficult time determining the difference. Both are very well made. I'm nearly ashamed to admit to the Ed Brown purchase as the Cbob is very capable. I guess I'm just a 1911 addict. Good choice!Comment

^^^+1 CBOBs are great guns and run amazingly well for a 1911 at that price point. Enjoy it and run it hard!"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good"

Thanks all for the nice words! The plan is to make this my primary carry gun off duty and I've been a hardcore Glock guy for years! I still believe in them but I have always been more accurate with the 1911 platform. After 2-300 round reliability check I will give it a go. Just picked up a cross breed super tuck for it and ordered 250rds of Winchester ranger 230gr T series I'll run 100rds to check function and call it good. Found a deal on eBay for 5 Wilson 7rd mags for $99 so that will be my edc carry set up
Can't wait!! Lol]If its not a COLT its a COPY!Comment

I have the ECO and a Kobra. The only difference is the price and the EB is not worth the extra money.Comment
