    S&W 1907 .38 SPC

Dads buddy has said above pistol he actually found out through a Smith and Wesson historian about it. It's about 85-90% on the conservative side a little holster wear at the muzzle. They said it's a Military/Police model I did not see any U.S. Property stamps and LEO Dept stamps. Any ball park on value he's thinking about selling it.

$350-$400, they made lots of them. If it was cherry maybe $600 but you would need to find a collector.

I think you are trying to describe the S&W Military & Police Hand Ejector Model of 1899. "1907" is just the latest patent issued. Besides the M & P market, it was available for public sales.

Because it was inefficent in the Philippines it brought about the Army testing handguns that led to the Colt Model of 1911, the 45 automatic.

IMHO it is just an old gun. For example would you rather collect Ford Mustangs or Ford Mavericks? Good luck
