    Vet

If you are a Vet and you moved to California when you retired and own a pistol that is not on the California approved sale. Would you have to sell it?

No. The roster is for guns that are sold in CA.

You can bring it as long as its not considered an assault weapon and you don't bring any assembled magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. If you tell us what gun it is specifically we can give you more accurate information.

the roster is mostly for guns sold by dealers to the general public. Basically our lawmakers are trying to limit the amount and types of handguns entering the state. There has been an exemption for private party transfers.

Moving to California you can bring off roster pistols with you.
As long as they are not "Assault Weapons" under CA law, IE threaded barrels, detachable magazines outside the pistol grip etc.

This is the form you need to fill out and send in with $19 per firearm:

Thank you for your service but I don't understand why you thought being a Veteran would give you any special privileges or not when it comes to this...

That one is totally fine. Its not on the roster but its brother the warrior is. Main difference is color. To California the black one is safe but the brown one is too dangerous to sell to the public. At least you have it already. Bring it with you and have fun.
