Is this possible or hollywood BS?

There's a action movie on Netflix, Parker. In one of the fight scene, the lead character had his 1911 grabbed onto by a bad guy. So what he did was to eject the magazine and used the magazine (that still has rounds in it) like a dagger and stabbed the bad guy in the shoulder. The magazine was half into the bad guy's shoulder.

Is this possible with a 1911 magazine? If I tried that with my Beretta PX4 Storm magazine I think it'll simply break into pieces.

      I did it once.

I was in the Congo searching for a purple 23kt diamond. I was fighting off Colombian, Venezuelan, and Cuban guerrillas right and left, all wanting the diamond and trying to stop me from finding it, as they knew, me being the great archeologist I am would surely discover where the ancient Mayan monks had hit it away.

Suddenly, who should pop up out of the bushes with a machete in one hand and an Uzi in the other, but none other than Ernesto "Che" Guevara!! He grabbed the slide on my LAR Grizzly Mark V chambered in .50A&E, to which I released the mag, snatched it with my left hand before it hit the ground, and then I stabbed him right in the sternum, plunging it though his chest and perforating his heart; down he went like a stuck goat.

Just as he crumpled into a gelatinous mess of blubbery flesh, Eva Longoria popped out of the bushes seductively purring "my hero, please come with me to my lair"....

      ...and then I woke up.

In the air, while it was flying at you on attack as you drove the buttstock of your AK through its heart, or as it was entombed for the day in it's coffin... and you drove the buttstock of your AK through its heart?

Generally speaking, any time you use "Hollywood" in a sentence it should always be followed by "BS". Except for the times when it is followed by "cesspool".

I'm guessing you can stab anyone with anything. The sides of a 1911 magazine is probably sharp enough to cut. If the mag was not completely full (and in theory one cartridge is missing since it's been chambered and it's not likely the guy topped up) then at least half an inch of the mag walls could have cut him. It was in the neck/upper shoulder, so conceivably he could have cut him. deep enough. But I think the stabbing was more of a distraction to get him to drop the gun so that Parker could beat him to a pulp, so that wasn't the killing blow, just a distracting one.

I joke I joke...but seriously you probably could stab someone with those 1911 mags. They have some pretty sharp lips.

Couldn't say exactly, but it would be easier with the single-stack 1911 magazine than with a double-stack.
