My question is does the Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel for the S&W M&P require any other modifications? Thanks James

What are you converting it over from??
I'm assuming a .40 S&W, if so drop it in & use a 9mm mag & you're set.
Also save yourself some money & buy a factory S&W M&P 9mm Barrel for 2/3rds. the price of a Storm Lake Barrel.
Best of luck, Lee -

It is a good idea to buy the Storm Lake barrel instead of the factory 9mm. The factory 9mm and 40 barrels are not the same dimensions, they are very close, but different. Many people use the factory barrel without issue, but problems have been reported using factory instead of the conversion barrel.
Here is a link to the M&P forum: http://mp-pistol.com/
Do a search there for stormlake conversion and you will find lots of info.If I had to describe myself in one word it would be "bad at following directions"Comment
