I'd guess $500 (w/ no box?). I assume that you are asking about the .357 Magnum (is was also available in .22LR and .22 Magnum).

The Trooper (and the .357 Magnum-- which is Trooper with a nicer finish) sell for a premium to the Mk III (or Mk V).

I am looking at the .357. I found a nickel one for $800 about 87% condition. What you think?

            I wouldn't pay that much.

The MK III Series (all of them) went to the new (cheaper) internals. It had the transfer bar safety and newer coil mainspring. They also dropped the Python internal lock work.

The Trooper MK III was made for law enforcement so was made in large numbers.

The MK III Series are fine revolvers but should be in the $500 range for a 87%. The pre-Mk III's are $800.

I picked up a NIB 6" nickel a few months back for $600. It's not new anymore!

I bought a rare 5 inch at Little John's in 2006 at 450.00 at auction . Have a 6 inch in blue, the 5 inch I value at 1000,00 + , These will never be sold and are not junk. I sold my 22 mag Trooper and wish I kept it . I wanted the 6 inch since seeing it in the 1968 Guns and Ammo yearly .
