    pistol sights HELP please!!!

I need a new rear sight for my M&P CORE. Well a rear M&P sight is too wide for the CORE so I was wondering if another sight for maybe a glock or sig would fit. Can you please post your gun and the measurement of your rear sight or the rear dovetail. you dont have to take out your sight just use a measuring caliper and take the reading. Thank in advance!

Rear sights for M&Ps are too wide for the core? That doesn't make sense considering:

The new M&P C.O.R.E. is available in 9mm and .40 S&W, with a 4.25- or 5-inch barrel. Engineered as a true competition platform, each model retains the M&P’s original design features, including the polymer frame with a through-hardened stainless steel slide and barrel, ambidextrous operating controls, striker-fired action and Melonite finish.
they appear to be the same except they're capable of accepting a dot.
We in Bangor, Maine now baby.

I know but they are different. That's why I bought the CORE figured if I ever ran a dot I didn't have to mill it. The actual dovetail is slimmer (by a lot)

You mean the LENGTH of the cut, not the width, right?

You're measuring from front to back in the direction of the slide, not from side to side?

Wouldn't a standard sight be too short for the stock front blade? All the pictures of the M&P CORE's I have seen the iron sights are taller than normal iron sights.

Yes that is correct, they are suppressor hight sights but I can change those out easily. The rear is the problem.
