Custom Slots on Slide

So I want some custom cuts on my slide of my XD9 tactical. I getting bored
with it I guess. I got some ideas of how I want the cuts to look like.

Are there any recommended bay area gunsmithing shops that can do this? I really don't feel comfortable shipping out my slide. Even metal cutting shops that can do it. Any of them out there?

I believe "lightening cuts" is the correct terminology.
IMO: not worth it, if it is just for fun.

Just buy another gun if you are bored with that one.

Why are you uncomfortable sending it off somewhere? Just find a shop that does good work. I had slide work done from ATEI and it was very impressive work.

Remove slide (which is non-serialized), package well and ship to which ever shop you would have already made arrangements with by phone or by email. Then, ship by trackable means through whichever shipping service you prefer, with the appropriate insurance and receiving signature required.

Plan on never shooting full house loads in the gun again, unless you want to break the slide.

Remember physics when doing cuts into the slide and you also may have to change other springs around as well.

I'm not sure that's the case with conservative cuts. There aren't any problems shooting full powered loads through a G34/35.
