    S&W shield 9

I know S&W is behind in production and they had all the recalls. But does anybody have any updates on when these will be for sale in California.

Early 2014i heard. Assuming the recall doesn't drop them off the roster I mean. If it does you can bet it won't come back.

S&Ws site says estimated availability Fall 2013, but it said fall 2012 last year. So take it for what it's worth.

hope these come out soon. its the last piece of my m&p9 collection.
also hope the lci and mag disconnect are easily removed.
btw table rock arms will middleman/sse it but i was quoted $120
theres also places in north/south CA that will SSE or stock these in store but nothing around the bay area.
and i'm just not willing to pay 650-700 for a $350 gun

Removing the LCI will basically leave a gaping slit on the top of the slide...If it really bothers you like it would bother me then getting a non-CA version is the only option.

Wouldn't passage of the SSE ban mean you can never get it factory serviced?

Wouldn't it be better to just call S&W and ask?

"All the recalls"... How many times has this gun been recalled?

This is why not having an external safety on a pocket carry pistol makes me nervous.. I carry my sig 938 cocked and locked without any apprehension..

Shield has an external safety. Additionally, the trigger safety (subject to the recall) is not an internal device.
