I have a M1991A1 which is GI basically.

I have started my "mods" with a Wilson Combat barrel bushing, guide rod cap, 17lb recoil spring and new GI length guide rod. I also bought 3 Wilson Combat 47D mags. The grips I upgraded with Hogue wraps and VZ Operator II (depending on my mood)

Next mods are Wilson Combat "drop-in" safety, metal trigger, commander hammer and sending off the slide to Novak to get milled and some proper sights installed.

    Good luck!

Yeah, the mainspring housing on mine is plastic and VERY sharp edged, I put a piece of masking tape over it, that ghetto-fixed it, though a nice Calgunner sent me his old smoother metal MSH, which I haven't installed yet.

My trigger is actually very nice. Could be just luck of the draw OR I don't know any better and just think it's nice.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

      There. Are. Four. Lights!
