I am a CA LLF01 holder and am trying to research the legality of purchasing a hand gun that is only legal to sell to a LEO or roster exempt person. Is is legal for me to use for demonstration purposes a non rostered handgun as long as it is not transferred into my personal collection? I am thinking of buying a few different hand guns out of state to sell to LEO but would like to be able to use one at the CA range as a "demo".

I'd think that taking it off-site might be a problem with your bound book inventory.

You'd almost have to have a range on-site to make it work.
